Clear, research-based:

EFL is based on evidence based procedures and research from the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Both the authors Dr. McGreevy and Troy Fry have years of experience in the field in special education, and behavior analysis

Focus on fx communication and daily living skills:

Many of our learners still need to continue to work on communication skills and EFL focuses heavily on these skills as well daily living skills, functional academics and tolerating skills

Automated progress tracking:

Easy daily cold probe data collection that tracks small increments of progress which is often important to many of our learners. EFL App automatically populates grids based on this data removing one more step for staff in order to make data collection that much easier

Personalized learning and intervention plans:

Based on input to the Quick Assessment, EFL App automatically suggests certain skills teams may want to assess further for each of their learners. The app allows teams to select any skills they feel are of utmost importance to each learner and provides detailed description of those skills as well as any teaching protocols that might accompany those skills

Collaborative and cloud based for teams:

EFL App licenses are available per client, this means any number of team members can create accounts and be given access to that client. This means all team members have real time access to each of their clients assessment and program.

The EFL App is HIPAA compliant. You can view our security and compliance status at trust.datamtd.com, powered by Vanta. A signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA) is available upon request. In 1996, Liz and Steve’s daughter, Sarah, was diagnosed with Autism. They saw the difference that Applied Behavior Analysis made to Sarah’s progress. As a result, Liz went back to school and earned her Masters degree in Special Education with an emphasis in ABA, and then became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Liz and Steve Maher, the owners of DataMTD, have not only seen the benefits of teams using EFL with their clients in agencies and school districts, but they have experienced the benefits personally. When their daughter, Sarah, became a young adult it became obvious that what Sarah needed was a function based assessment. Dr McGreevy and Troy Fry had just published the print version of Essential for Living and Liz and Steve decided to explore this new assessment and curriculum, that continues to work on communication and track small increments of progress, for their daughter. From the moment they completed the Quick Assessment it became clear that EFL was the correct choice for Sarah. Ten years later the difference that this assessment and curriculum has made in Sarah’s life as well as the family’s has been undeniable.
